Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Business Systems Analyst
with strong expertise in
payments systems, messaging standards, and data analysis
. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to analyze requirements, design system solutions, and support integrations across enterprise platforms. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document business and system requirements related to
    payments processing and messaging systems
  • Perform
    data mapping and data analysis
    across upstream and downstream systems
  • Support
    high-level system design
    , integration patterns, and communication protocols
  • Collaborate with technical teams on system interfaces using
    MQ, Kafka, and REST APIs
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and stakeholder discussions
  • Ensure solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare functional specifications, process flows, and integration documentation
  • Support testing, validation, and issue resolution during implementation phases

Critical Skills & Qualifications (Must-Have)

  • Strong
    general knowledge of payments systems
  • Experience with
    messaging standards
    such as
    ISO MT/MX)
  • Excellent
    data mapping and data analysis
    skills
  • High-level understanding of
    system design and integration architecture
  • Hands-on experience with communication protocols:
  • MQ
  • Kafka
  • REST APIs
  • Proven
    stakeholder management and communication
    skills

Highly Desired (Not Mandatory)

  • Prior working knowledge of
    sanctions screening
    concepts and processes

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with
    sanctions vendor platforms
    such as:

  • Pelican
