Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented sterile and non sterile compounding technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of medical instruments and equipment used in patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and medical terminology, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Sterilization Technician will collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sterilization procedures on following established protocols.
  • Ensure all sterilized items are properly labeled and stored according to USP regulations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including dates, times, and results.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and healthcare staff to support patient care needs.
  • Assist in the intake process for new equipment or supplies requiring sterilization.
  • Stay updated on best practices in aseptic technique and infection control measures.

Skills

  • Experience in independent pharmacy or hospital settings is preferred.
  • Critical care experience is a plus, enhancing understanding of patient service needs.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology related to patient care and medication administration.
  • Familiarity with IV infusion processes and acute care environments.
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience is advantageous for understanding medication handling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $26.97 per hour
