Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join an independent specialist day school in West Kent. This high-quality educational setting supports a diverse group of pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviours.
The school provides a nurturing environment tailored to children with a wide range of SEN needs, offering structured support, individualised learning, and a strong multidisciplinary approach. • Develop child-centred therapy plans and work collaboratively with teaching staff, support teams, and other clinicians.
• Provide advice, strategies, and hands-on support to staff to promote communication-friendly environments.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary reviews, Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs), and ongoing progress monitoring.
• Maintain accurate, detailed clinical records in accordance with HCPC and RCSLT standards.
• Support whole-school communication initiatives and contribute to service development within the therapy team.

• A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration and eligibility for RCSLT membership.
• Experience working with children with complex needs, communication difficulties, and/or challenging behaviours.
