About the Role

Canopy Property Management is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Property Inspector to perform move-in, move-out, pre-listing, and post-renovation inspections for rental properties. This position is perfect for someone who is organized, communicates clearly, and takes pride in thorough, accurate documentation.

This is a field-based role that requires consistent use of checklists, photos, and video to document property conditions.

What You'll Do

  • Complete inspections using our standardized checklist
  • Take clear photos and videos of each room and issue
  • Identify maintenance concerns, damage, and safety hazards
  • Confirm readiness for move-ins or listings
  • Upload findings through our property management software
  • Communicate inspection results to the office team
  • Maintain professional conduct with tenants and vendors

What We're Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Ability to follow a process without skipping steps
  • Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet for photos and forms
  • Reliable transportation & valid driver's license
  • Independent, dependable, and organized
  • Experience in property management, maintenance, construction, or real estate is helpful but not required

Preliminary Application Requirement

To be considered for this role, applicants must complete a sample inspection checklist and submit:

  • A completed version of the checklist
  • Photos documenting the sample "inspection"
  • (This can be your own home, a friend's home, or another space—no access to a rental is required.)

Purpose:

This exercise helps us evaluate your ability to follow a checklist, stay organized, pay attention to detail, and provide clear documentation—key skills for this position.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 15 per week
