Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. The Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Our center operating hours are 6:30am-5:30pm ( yes we close at 5:30pm Be home EVERY evening). We are closed major holidays including Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, and The Day after Thanksgiving. Our school is privately owned not corporate based- Your thoughts matter Have kids? We offer childcare to children 6 weeks old- 12 years old at a discount price for staff.

Responsibilities

  • Implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children while supporting the lead teacher in the classroom.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents regarding their development and time spent at school.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the childcare setting.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom.
  • Provide first aid when necessary and adhere to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma OR Enrolled in a Career Tech High School in an ECE program.
  • Previous experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred but not required. We are here to help you ignite your career in Early Childhood Education.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support diverse learning needs.
  • First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification is required.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.

Pay: $ $16.00 per hour
