Quality Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. The role will be responsible for supporting both returns data entry, inspecting returned warranty units, identifying the root cause of failures, and ensuring accurate data entry for each unit. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer returns and labor claims are processed in a consistent timely manner
- Uses ERP system to generate returns and process credits
- Responds to customer requests in a courteous and reasonable manner
- Review incoming data to seek patterns of failures that can be used to drive root cause analysis
- Conduct counts of returned units and support data entry into ERP system
- Inspect warranty units and identify the root cause of failures including using common mechanical tools to dismantle automotive parts for individual inspection
- Inspect and as needed repackage inventory
- Maintain organized work space and golden sample filing system
- Perform accurate data entry, including serial numbers, manufacturer details, and receipt dates
- Other tasks as assigned by leadership team
Requirements:
- High school diploma or higher
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality control or a related field including automotive repair and troubleshooting
- Basic computer skills are required
- Experience in ERP systems, preferably Plex or Epicor is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial for this role
- Ability to work independently and or as part of a team
- Ability to understand technical drawings and use precision measurement tools when needed
- Problem solving and critical thinking abilities
- Experience using tools, hand tools and light power tools for assembly or disassembly
- Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs
- Reach truck driving experience is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
