Material Handler/Driver II (A Shift)

Position Description:
Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Material Handler/Driver II opportunity with our client in Merritt Island, FL.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
  • Development and integration of suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Review supplier data to ensure manufacturing-related requirements are met.
  • Initiate tooling orders under guidance of senior leaders based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
  • Tooling dispositions.
  • Investigation of manufacturing-related issues of limited scope.
  • Producibility assessments for part or product designs under guidance of senior teammates.
  • Reviewing design, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing technologies to meet costs and schedules.
  • Development of work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
  • Provide ship side support under guidance of senior teammates
  • Work under detailed supervision.

Job Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma GED or Equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or trade school in related discipline AND/OR 1+ years of manufacturing planner, or production experience and/or associate degree or trade school in related discipline or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints required.
  • Exposure to P6 or other GANTT-style schedules.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office products).
  • Understanding of the Manufacturing Engineering Organizational function.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Forklift experience required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years of relevant manufacturing planning experience in an aerospace company
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Experience with Manufacturing & CAD Software (Jules, CMES, Velocity, Enovia, Delmia, CATIA, CREO, Etc.)

Job Details:

  • Contract Position
  • Location: Merritt Island, FL
  • Pay Rate: $35-36/hr
  • ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C.
  • 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
