Job Description

As a Security Guard - Tech Site - Part Time in Maple Grove, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech and media locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while building positive relationships with those on-site. This is a driving position, where you will primarily be responsible for conducting patrols by vehicle, maintaining a strong presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor the location for any unusual activity and report findings as appropriate.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors by providing directions and addressing inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal supervision and law enforcement as necessary during emergency response situations.
  • Complete required reports and documentation regarding daily activities and incidents encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A primarily driving post is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
