About the Role:

This position provides leadership, management, direction, and vision to software engineers and/or development employees including offshore contractors/consultants and interns needed to support, run, and change activities in the software development life cycle. The position works closely with development peers, product and project leaders/managers, and other in-house software developers as well as directs the successful completion and delivery of respective software components and any other related deliverables. The position is additionally expected to report progress to senior management. Additional responsibilities may include oversight of the department budget, identifying and supporting talent, and defining resource requirements and allocations.

Responsibilities:

• Partnering with and leading large offshore resources to solving complex business needs, serving as the technical contact
• Managing your team, including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, and giving appropriate feedback
• Writing advanced complex code for computer systems, acting as a senior source of expertise, performing reviews, and leading development
• Acting as an acknowledged go-to person on coding and technical issues
• Recommending technical strategy and direction across functional area, participating in the development and evolution of architecture
• Working directly with customers and end-users, and providing design input across a product

Requirements:

• Have a BS degree in Engineering Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Have excellent knowledge and experience in project planning and management tools
• 10+ years of Software Development experience
• 4+ years of Software and People Management experience
• Have substantial Software Engineering experience
• Have experience in staff resourcing and management, including partnering and offshoring resourcing models
• Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, able to think analytically
• Be expert in development languages, including JAVA_J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C_C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .NET
• Be a natural problem-solver and able to take a lead in collaborating to resolve issues
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience
• Have great experience in code reviews and development approaches
• Be very proficient in database technology, design and manipulation, optimization, and best practice

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $116,000 - $215,500. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.

This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
