Job Overview

As a Starbucks Barista at Applegreen, you will be the face of our café, providing exceptional customer service while crafting high-quality beverages and food items. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring that each visit is memorable. You will be responsible for operating the Aloha and Micros POS systems, handling cash transactions, and maintaining food safety standards.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with precision and care.
• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
• Operate Aloha POS and Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of products served.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for creating positive experiences for guests.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately, including retail math for inventory management.
• Experience with food preparation and handling, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Ability to operate POS systems (Aloha POS and Micros POS) efficiently.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy café setting.
