Responsible to supervise and direct the finance functions at the Distribution Center. Prepare periodic reports, review and reconcile data, and participate in the development of specialized financial data. Oversee and prepare entries and adjustments to records, files, and statements. Assist with financial and variance analyses, budgeting and forecasting preparation. Ensure that finance functions are complete in accordance with established policies and standards and related governmental requirements. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. Minimum 2+ years financial experience with emphasis on forecasting and/or budgetingRequires ability to perform statistical data analysis and analytical reviewAbility to travel independently ( - Demonstrates professional demeanor and confidentialityAbility to delegate and follow up on assignments while striving for resultsExperience in prioritizing and handling multiple projects and assignments while attaining on-time completionStrong attention to detail for identifying errors in calculations and reportsExcellent organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to relate to and understand othersMust be a team playerExcellent listening and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft office programsIndependently exercise sound analytical judgmentDesired Bachelor's Degree Accounting/FinanceStrong ability to learn Kroger software (Crystal Reports, Business Objects, DODECA and ESSBASE)- Prepare budgeting, forecasting, and reporting numbers for sitePrepare and submit period end journal entriesPrepare account reconciliations, review period end financial statements and research variancesProduce financial, statistical, and operational information from multiple sources for use in decision-makingProduce financial models and forecasts as requested by managementManage budget and serve as system administrator to budget softwareAssist the site in budgeting, financial analysis and cost controlAssist the controller in counseling the site concerning operations and other problems relating to financial controlPrepare ad hoc reports of financial transactions into accurate timely reports that provide meaningful information for operating management and/or comply with federal, state, and local regulationsSupervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reportsMaintain flexibility to work any shift, including holidaysMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
