Role Overview:
Johnson Controls, a leader in sustainable building technologies and smart solutions, is searching for a skilled Technology Director to join our Oakland team. In this leadership position, you will oversee the execution of technology strategies, manage key projects, and guide a talented team to deliver cutting-edge solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers, IT professionals, and technology experts in Oakland, ensuring the successful implementation of technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with the broader company vision and growth objectives.
- Manage technology projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Stay on top of emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
- Provide mentorship and career development support to team members, helping them achieve professional growth.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless technology integration.
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 10 years of experience in senior technology leadership roles, preferably within IT, building systems, or a related industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex technology projects.
- Expertise in cloud technologies, enterprise systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing and developing teams.
- Experience in hybrid work environments and proficiency with modern collaboration tools.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $150,000 – $160,000 annually
- Annual Bonus: Typically 10-20% of base salary
