McLean, Virginia, United States Mindlance Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Product Manager with strong experience in AWS-based data integration, ETL workflows, and testing validation. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between technical and business teams — ensuring smooth data migrations, effective communication with leadership, and the delivery of high-quality data products aligned with the organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage AWS data workflows including AWS Glue jobs, Step Functions, and related ETL processes.
  • Drive data migration and integration initiatives, ensuring seamless flow and accuracy across systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, and BI) to define and deliver product roadmap milestones.
  • Communicate weekly updates to Directors and stakeholders through structured reports, emails, and dashboards (Sheets or similar tools).
  • Participate in product roadmapping and prioritization, aligning technical delivery with business objectives.
  • Lead testing and validation efforts to ensure data quality and system reliability.
  • Author and review test cases, Gherkin scenarios, and acceptance criteria for feature validation and automation readiness.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of AWS Glue, Step Functions, and data pipeline orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL design, data migration, and integration frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Gherkin syntax and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to distill technical updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with testing frameworks, validation processes, and data quality checks.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute product roadmaps in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cloud-based data platforms (AWS ecosystem).
  • Background in data analytics, data engineering, or product ownership.
  • Exposure to automated testing or QA collaboration using tools like Cucumber, JIRA, or TestRail.
