Our medical assistants will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation. You will support physicians and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail oriented and bring a positive, engaging personality to the team and to our patients. We are hiring a clinical assistant/phlebotomist for our Woodbury, MN location. This position also requires flexibility to move between our Eagan and Plymouth Locations when needed. We are looking for exceptional candidates with a great personality and good clinical skills. This position is 30+ hours per week.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports
  • Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
  • Check with patients and type up patients' charts
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
  • Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
  • Administer medication(s) per proper protocol
  • Document patient encounters in a detailed and professional manner
  • Take and document vital signs
  • Proficient phlebotomy and lab understanding
  • Therapeutic Phlebotomy procedure Skills
  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems, medical terminology, and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
