We are currently seeking dedicated and professional Non-Emergency Transportation Drivers to join our team.

Job Description: As a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver, you will play a critical role in providing non-emergency transportation services to passengers, ensuring their comfort, safety, and timely arrival at their destinations. This position requires a compassionate and responsible individual with a strong commitment to customer service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport passengers to and from medical appointments and other locations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate sedan and ambulette vehicles in accordance with all local traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily transportation activities, including pick-up/drop-off times, destinations, and any relevant passenger information.
  • Gathering pick up and drop off data with the use of a mobile device.
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers, including addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Report any vehicle issues or incidents to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements:

  • Valid New York State Driver's License Class C with Passenger Endorsement and a clean driving record.
  • Must be fit to push riders and load into vehicle who are in a wheelchair.
  • Experience as a driver (previous experience with ambulette transportation or working with elderly and disabled individuals is a plus).
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
  • Ability to assist passengers and lift their durable medical equipment (walker, wheelchair) as needed.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and emergency procedures.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience driving vehicles with wheelchair accessibility or other specialized medical transport vehicles.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • CDL C with passenger endorsement.
  • Usage of a driver app similar to Uber/Lyft/Amazon to collect trip data at pick up/drop off

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
