Finance and Operations Associate

As a Finance & Operations Associate, you'll ensure financial accuracy and keep the supply chain moving so innovation reaches the people who need it most. This role is an excellent foundation for growth into broader operations or finance leadership positions.

This position is split evenly between bookkeeping and purchasing, inventory, shipping & receiving. You'll have day-to-day ownership of financial accuracy and purchasing/shipping operations, while collaborating across finance, operations, and research. In this role, you'll also help build scalable systems that support Seek Labs' future growth.

What You'll Do

Bookkeeping Responsibilities

• Own accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile transactions and maintain records in accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Tipalti).
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare financial summaries (vendor spend, budget tracking, inventory valuation).
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and budgets.

Purchasing, Inventory & Logistics Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing: vendor sourcing, order placement, tracking.
• Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate for cost savings.
• Track shipments and resolve logistics issues quickly.
• Oversee shipping & receiving, ensuring inventory accuracy through audits.
• Maintain the purchase request system and train staff.
• Create SOPs and Work Instructions for purchasing and logistics workflows.
• Provide updates to management on purchasing and inventory status.
• Drive measurable results—on-time deliveries, accurate reconciliations, and vendor cost efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) or in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting (2+ with exceptional skills considered).
• High tenacity with a strong list- and task-oriented work style, while open to growing into broader strategic responsibilities.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, including accrual accounting practices, and logistics processes.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting/ERP systems (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar).
• Highly organized and detail-focused, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across finance, operations, science, and business development.

Preferred

• Familiarity with shipping regulations and customs.
• Experience in a regulated or manufacturing environment.

Pay: $65, $80,000.00 per year
