Job Title: Triple P Family Specialist

Qualifications: Master's degree from accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, with three years of work experience, or Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university with a minimum of four years of work experience, preferably extensive experience working with family systems. Must have reliable transportation and the flexibility to occasionally work some early morning, evening, and weekend hours. Bilingual (Spanish and English) a plus.

Principle Responsibilities: The Family Specialist implements home-based services and community-based parent education for families of varied backgrounds and needs.

Reports to: Positive Parenting Program Supervisor

Scope: This full time salaried, exempt position has responsibilities which include but are not limited to: responding to families in a timely, appropriate and individualized manner, implementing services with fidelity to Triple P, COA and HCFC standards, implementing responsive, individualized services in both individualized and group settings in a manner that furthers the HCFC mission of building stable, healthy families and preventing child abuse and neglect.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Attend Triple P training for designated levels of Triple P delivery
  • Conducts assessments and treatment planning of individual participants for designated levels of Triple P
  • Become accredited in all trained levels of Triple P
  • Recruit participants and secure venues to deliver sessions.
  • Observes, describes and offers feedback on participants to the referral source as requested
  • Develops and reviews family/individual case plans. for designated levels of Triple P
  • Lead parent groups utilizing Triple P Group methods.
  • Participates in orientation of new participants as they enter the program.
  • Build collaborative partnerships and relationships with stakeholders so that the program is seen as a "go to" for high stress families
  • Market the program to various referral sources to ensure a diversified reach and funding streams for the program
  • Adheres to all mandates as established by referral sources, COA national accreditation standards, and any other relevant standards.
  • Maintains fidelity to Triple P
  • Explores and connect families with community resources that increase their support networks and coping methods.
  • Attend additional trainings outside of the Triple P training. (To include trauma informed care, positive youth development, mandated reporting of abuse and/or neglect and inclusivity (cultural competency)
  • Attend site visits and practitioner meetings.
  • This position is an integral part of the Performance Quality Improvement process for HCFC, through duties which include but are not limited to:
  • Completing necessary assessments on clients within specified time frames
  • Completing outcome measures as outlined in the PQI grid
  • Inputting required documentation into Extend Reach
  • Maintaining accurate client records that meet HCFC or other requirements as applicable
  • Completing other duties as assigned
