Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted leader by opening and closing the store, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately and securely.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with shoppers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored product recommendations.
  • Manage daily sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems with accuracy and efficiency, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments confidently.
  • Assist in inventory management by stocking shelves and conducting stock counts.
  • Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays, setting up promotional signage, and ensuring the store presents an inviting atmosphere.
  • Supervise team members during shifts, delegating tasks such as cashiering, stocking, and customer assistance to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, and adherence to company policies; perform opening/closing procedures diligently.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail sales or customer service roles; supervisory or assistant manager experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in retail math for pricing, discounts, and sales calculations; familiarity with POS systems is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability in inventory management, stock replenishment, and inventory control practices.
  • Skilled in cashiering, cash handling accuracy, and basic bookkeeping tasks such as payroll or budgeting support.
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles and store presentation standards.
  • Ability to manage time effectively during shift management duties; strong organizational skills are necessary for multitasking efficiently.
  • A proactive attitude towards training & development of team members; commitment to employee orientation and coaching others for success.
  • High level of professionalism with excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills; capable of managing administrative tasks confidently.
