MHT - Driver

Mental Health Tech needed at local leading partial hospitalization program to assist and provide transportation to patients. Applicants must be willing to work hard and have a high regard for patient satisfaction and care.

Monday - Friday 7-4pm work every other Saturday

Must have a valid Drivers License, Chauffeurs License preferred.

Provides patient assessment/treatment

1. Demonstrates teamwork by carrying out routine and assigned tasks within the outpatient programs.
2. Assists in provision of maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu by monitoring compliance with hospital rules.
3. Documents patient's vital signs.
4. Recognizes the impact of group contagion by behavior and demonstrates assistance with therapeutic interventions
5. Assists nurse with patient care tasks and the nurse or activity director with therapeutic interventions
6. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
7. Accompanies patients who leave the facility for medical reasons or appointments.
8. Orients new MHT staff to policy and procedures, duties and responsibilities, codes of conduct and dress as assigned
9. Flexible with work schedule when necessary to provide coverage
10. Transport patients from their homes to the office and from the office to their homes and to doctor appointments.

1. Organize the route to pick up patients and bring them home so that the route is efficient and sufficient to time management and financial considerations.
2. Sign the keys in and out to the vans daily.
3. Clean the transportation vans daily.
4. Notify the Director two weeks prior to the need for the routine maintenance required for the vans.
5. Patients to the restrooms and getting patients to the group rooms in an organized fashion.
6. Assist patients with bathroom needs, brief changes, and hygiene.
7. Assist with the coordination of distributing lunches, cleaning the kitchen (as assigned) after lunch, and attending to the patients' needs during lunch.
8. Vacuum the carpets, keep refrigerator and kitchen clean, take out the garbage, and disinfect the bathrooms/kitchen and furniture as assigned
