Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (VSAT Diagnostic Specialist) to join our growing pain medicine practice. This individual will be trained in the VS Diagnostics platform, supporting daily diagnostic operations, assisting with patient assessments, and ensuring seamless coordination between departments. The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills, at least one year of experience using EPIC, excellent communication abilities, and a patient-centered mindset.

Key Responsibilities

· Serve as a point of contact for the VS Diagnostics platform.

· Operate the platform daily, ensuring proper function and assisting with troubleshooting when needed.

· Collect, organize, and manage diagnostic data with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality, in compliance with HIPAA and clinic standards.

· Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, explain the process, and support a positive experience.

· Maintain detailed records of diagnostic tests and outcomes.

· Assist in monitoring platform performance and suggest workflow enhancements.

· Help coordinate and fill the VSAT schedule to 6 patients a day, including patient outreach and appointment setting.

· Float between departments or providers as needed, providing coverage and support to maintain smooth clinic operations.

· When VSAT tests are not being performed, check in with the clinical supervisor to assist with general clinic operations and support other areas as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: Medical Assistant certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years in a medical office setting, preferably in pain management or diagnostics. At least 1 year of EPIC experience required.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, diagnostic testing, and medical equipment
  • Proficiency with patient vitals, screenings, and clinical documentation in EPIC
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach with professionalism under pressure
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, assist patients with mobility, and lift/move medical equipment as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $26.00 per hour
