Administrative Responsibilities
- Be responsible to the President/CEO for accomplishing role functions and participate on the Administrative team
- Assist the CEO in the development and implementation of agency policy, practice, philosophy, and procedure
- Carry out any other administrative duties as assigned
Community Pr/Agency Liaison Responsibilities
- Conduct public relations activities under the direction of the Director of Women's Residential Services with particular focus on women offender programs in terms of presenting the ARC story to: other community treatment providers, Department of Corrections personnel, Judges, attorneys, and Public Defenders
- Under the direction of the Director of Women's Residential Services, conduct the intake process under the guidelines set forth by the State Department of Corrections. Provide the referring agent reports outlining assessment results, and contents of treatment plan
- Coordinate inter-agency referrals and programmatic interaction with community resources
- Coordinate needed community resources to meet the needs of clients and/or their children
- Carry out any other community and public relation needs that are requested by the CEO
Program Responsibilities
- Represent the CEO in team meetings or specific treatment planning for residents in accordance to professionally accepted standards to insure the development and maintenance of necessary levels of program services in conjunction with community and funding expectations
- Provide leadership for team and residents in the facility and support the mission of ARC
- Role model and educate on core values of the agency
- Coordinate and facilitate weekly staff meetings, counselor meetings, internal affairs, business meetings resident and staff all house meetings, and other committee meetings that are necessary to implement or enhance the program.
- Conduct program review with the CEO and Director of Women's Residential Services
- Under the direction of the Director of Women's Residential Services, oversee the development and implementation of internal program policies
- Monitor and oversee case management and treatment planning for all clients
- Assist the Director of Women's Residential Services in meeting all licensing, certification and HIPAA requirements
- Keep program forms up to date including rules, description of service, intake, etc.
- Under the direction of the Director of Women's Residential Services and with the assistance of the Social Worker and Substance Abuse Counselor, be responsible for the development, evaluation, and implementation of the internal programming to meet the individualized needs of clients
- With the assistance of the Social Worker and Substance Abuse Counselor, coordinate program groups and individual services making sure they occur and are integrated into the overall program concept
- Arrange and participate in interventions with clients and mediations between client or clients and staff
- Be available for crisis when emergency back-up person needs assistance and do crisis management at any time while at the project
- Develop a viable volunteer program by recruiting, selecting, training, supervising, and evaluating of volunteer workers for enhancing the program
- Determine in conjunction with the program staff, Director of Women's Residential Services and DOC agent/s, the removal of a resident from the program
- Insure the physical safety of the residents under the direction of the CEO
Supervision Responsibilities
- Supervise the treatment staff (including all Social Workers, Substance Use Disorder Counselors, Case Managers, or Parenting Specialists) including reviewing case plans and treatment plans, observing groups, and reviewing reports and other documentation
- Supervise the Full-time Overnight Counselor and Part-time Weekend/Overnight Counselors
- Create initial and ongoing training plans for all staff and assure that staff receive the training
- Run weekly staffing and staff meetings
- Participate in hiring and training of new staff with the Director of Women's Residential Services
- Conduct performance reviews for all staff
- Arrange and participate in mediations between staff members
- With the assistance of the Director of Women's Residential Services, arrange in-services and counselor training opportunities
- Recruit interns through various departments at colleges and universities, and oversee supervision of interns
- Be responsible for staff schedules assuring that 24-hour day staff coverage is maintained within the program
- Carry out any other supervisory needs assigned by the Director of Women's Residential Services and/or CEO
Facility Management
Be responsible for general building maintenance, upkeep, and appearance reporting any remodeling and/or repair needs to the Director of Women's Residential Services. This includes the following:
- Assure proper life safety as outlined by CBRF licensing regulations
- Responsible for developing policies and procedures for staff and clients concerning facility management subject to CEO's approval
- Responsible for keeping weekly menus for licensing purposes
- Responsible for food buying:
- Coordinate food/supply shopping list to insure completeness and appropriateness
- Insure that purchases are within budgetary limits
- Meet nutrition standards
- Responsible for the coordination of all house repairs by following agency policy.
- Assure a satisfactory general site appearance by submitting, for approval, to the CEO, purchase requests for improvements
- Responsible for keeping the site up to licensing and/or certification standards when applicable
- Responsible for maintaining internal key system
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Women's Residential Services in order to fulfill role functions
- At least three years experience in women's specific, residential services, substance abuse treatment, or a related area of women's service, and at least three years experience working with offenders in a treatment program
- MSW or advanced degree in a related field desired. A bachelor's degree in social work or a related field or equivalent experience may be considered
- At least two years supervisory experience
- Experience with pregnancy and infants desired
