Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and "experienced" Restaurant Manager to help set up the restaurant BEFORE it opens and to oversee the daily operations of our establishment once it is open. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient operations, and creating a welcoming environment for guests.

Duties

  • Hiring of new staff - BOH and FOH
  • Research Marketing
  • Add data to POS (Clover)
  • Prepare handbooks for staff
  • Prepare closing and opening shift duties and responsibilities
  • Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Train, develop, and manage staff, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
  • Handle cash management and POS (Clover) accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling practices.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial management to achieve profitability goals.
  • Assess food cost and waste
  • Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new staff members.
  • Implement training programs for staff development in culinary skills and customer service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry of minimum 5 years
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management practices.
  • Familiarity with POS systems (Clover) and cash handling procedures.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
  • Experience in fine dining, casual dining, quick service & fast food environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culinary experience or formal training is a plus; banquet experience is also beneficial.
  • Background in catering, events off and on premises, planning of calendar events and special nights and themed parties.
