Clinical Supervision and Psychotherapy, Private Practice

Seeking a clinical supervisor to supervise associate psychotherapists at a private practice group. This position requires that the applicant be LEGALLY QUALFIED by the CALIFORNIA BBS to supervise associate psychotherapists (ACSW, AMFT, APCC)

Pay starts at $80 per hour of supervision or billable hour with clients. Supervisors may see clients through the practice.

Duties and Requirements

  • Supervision of ASW, AMFT or APCC clinicians
  • Ensure supervisee are conducting ethical, competent care including oversight of documentation
  • Assist in the training and professional development of supervisees
  • Cooperate with the mission of the organization and complete tasks with self-initiation and without the need for strict controls;
  • Engage and communicate effectively with others in both verbal and written English
  • Maintain timely, accurate and complete supervision records and state required documentation
  • Meet all of the legal requirements to conduct clinical supervision for psychotherapy supervisees in California as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Provide clinical supervision, oversight and consultation to supervisees.
  • Assist supervisees in managing difficult cases, crisis situations and ethical dilemmas
  • Demonstrated ability to: Work independently and in a small team environment;
  • Work effectively with persons differing in value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, language capabilities and disabilities;
  • Exhibit exemplary customer service, compassion, and care in the execution of all duties and interactions. Employ tact and diplomacy, be genuine and non-judgmental of clients and co-workers;
  • Experience Working with the IFS model preferred
