Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision for dogs in our daycare facility. Your love for animals and ability to handle various breeds will ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all pets in our care. This position requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs to ensure a safe and fun environment
- Monitor and note behavior of dogs, identifying any signs of stress or aggression
- Assist with feeding, administering medications
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with owners
- Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger dogs
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere for both pets and staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus
- Experience in veterinary settings (veterinary technician or assistant) is beneficial
- Strong animal handling skills, including restraint techniques when necessary
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and maintain physical stamina throughout the day
