Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Early Education Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for toddlers, fostering their development through engaging activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The Lead Teacher will also collaborate with other staff members to implement educational programs that support each child's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in toddlers.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's activities, attendance, and developmental milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting lessons as necessary.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Associates, or CDA degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working with toddlers in a child care setting.
  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices. Montessori and Ministry experience is a plus.
  • First aid certification is required; CPR certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership skills.
  • Experience in classroom management and creating engaging learning environments for young children.
  • Previous experience as a nanny or babysitter is beneficial. Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of young learners

We are planning on training this person the first of December, but this is up to negation if the right person is hired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
