Overview
We are seeking experienced and adaptable Travel Nurses to provide exceptional patient care across diverse healthcare settings. This role offers the opportunity to work in various hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities, supporting patients with a wide range of medical needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to adapt to different environments. Travel Nurses will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care while gaining valuable experience in multiple specialties and care levels.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in accordance with physician orders and established protocols across multiple healthcare settings including acute, sub-acute, outpatient, and long-term care facilities.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with patient mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and provide specialized care for patients with developmental disabilities, dementia (Alzheimer's and memory care), or behavioral health needs.
- Support patients with complex conditions including ICU, trauma (Level I & II Trauma Centers), infectious diseases, hospice, pediatrics, geriatrics, and post-acute care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management strategies tailored to their specific conditions.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I & II), or surgical units.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, or individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to perform specialized procedures such as phlebotomy, catheter care, aseptic techniques, and use of medical equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education.
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to new environments and varying patient needs.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
