Director of Sales
to accelerate growth and further strengthen our partnerships across the retail and foodservice landscape.

Position Overview

The
Director of Sales
will develop and execute the sales strategy for national and regional accounts, drive revenue growth, build long-term customer relationships, and lead a high-performing sales team. This role is critical to scaling our market presence and ensuring consistent execution in alignment with our brand, supply capabilities, and expansion roadmap.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to support product launches, demand planning, and category leadership efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve volume, distribution, and profitability targets.
  • Expand distribution with major retailers, wholesalers, foodservice distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Forecast revenue, identify market opportunities, and adjust tactics based on performance, category trends, and regional supply availability.

Customer & Partner Management

  • Serve as the senior relationship owner for key retail and foodservice accounts.
  • Lead business reviews, negotiate annual agreements, and collaboratively build joint business plans.
  • Strengthen category performance through data-driven recommendations and merchandising programs.

Team Leadership

  • Build, coach, and lead a high-performing sales team across multiple regions.
  • Establish clear KPIs, performance expectations, and professional development plans.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-first culture.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain to align sales targets with production capacities.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop promotions, in-store activations, and consumer education initiatives.
  • Inform strategic planning with market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor key sales metrics and deliver regular performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Oversee category analysis, pricing strategy, trade investment, and promotional ROI.
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy and strengthen demand planning.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of sales leadership experience in CPG, produce, natural foods, or a related high-growth environment.
  • Proven success managing major national retail or foodservice accounts.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of trade spend, category management, and promotional strategy.
  • Experience scaling a sales organization during rapid growth.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in CRM and analytics tools.
  • Passion for sustainable food systems, agriculture, or mission-driven brands is a strong plus.
