Need someone to work 3:00pm to 9:30pm or 8:30am to 3:00pm.
Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and preventing loss or harm through proactive surveillance and conflict management. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued, along with certifications in first aid and CPR.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR.
- Enforce property rules and policies to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access (loss prevention).
- Manage conflicts or disturbances professionally and de-escalate situations as needed.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during investigations or emergencies.
- Assist in training new security personnel on procedures and protocols as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable.
- Strong surveillance skills with knowledge of CCTV systems.
- Ability to handle conflict management with professionalism and tact.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly during emergencies.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods.
