Job Summary

The maintenance employee provides basic maintenance services to the school and campus facilities. This position provides basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, grounds upkeep, and other related services as needed during the school day and/or weekend activities at the school with school events.

Job Responsibilities

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, tools required, and proper use.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical components, lighting, outlet replacement, tools required, and proper use.
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, tools required, and proper use.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and climate changes.
  • Frequent lifting; must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, squat, and kneel for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb ladders and operate lifts.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule with evening and weekend hours.
  • On-Call availability for emergencies.
  • Must have own transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance.
  • General knowledge and respect of the Catholic Church.
  • Must complete "Protecting God's Children" course and pass background check.
  • Must be able to work with Facilities Director, Administration, Faculty, Custodial staff, Parents, and Volunteers.

Job Requirements

Maintains the school and campus facilities so they are in proper operating status. This includes scheduling and performing required preventative maintenance, scheduling service calls with vendors, and performing required inspections on operating and safety systems.
