Salary Range: $53,000 - $56,000
Position Overview

The Dean of Admissions and Community Service embodies the welcoming face and voice of City School, guiding families through the journey of discovering and joining our Christ-centered community. This role combines the heart of ministry with the strategy of marketing-inviting new families into the mission, communicating the distinctives of a Christian education, coordinating volunteer service, and helping the school grow toward full enrollment. The Dean leads the admissions process, develops marketing initiatives, and works collaboratively with staff and families to ensure every prospective and current family feels seen, supported, and connected. At City School we celebrate and value the unique gifts and backgrounds of all members of our community, including differences in culture, learning styles, and social-emotional needs.

Marketing and Communications

  • Develop and implement an annual marketing and communications plan to increase awareness and visibility in the community.
  • Oversee digital and print marketing efforts, including website updates, social media, photography, and newsletters.
  • Share stories that highlight student learning, community life, and faith formation.
  • Build partnerships with local churches, preschools, and community organizations for outreach and referrals.
  • Manage the school's visual and messaging consistency across all communication channels.
  • On occasion, represent City School at weeknight and Saturday admission events.

Community Engagement and Retention

  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parent ambassadors to foster a culture of hospitality and belonging.
  • Develop and oversee a Christ-centered community service program that fosters a spirit of service within the school.
  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities for students, parents, and staff that strengthen relationships and support school events and initiatives.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Development, build and maintain partnerships with local churches, ministries, and organizations to provide meaningful service opportunities

beyond the school community.

  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers from both within the school and the broader community.
  • Work with faculty to integrate service and outreach into the life of the school and reinforce its connection to the school's mission.
  • Encourage and model servant leadership, helping students and families understand service as an expression of faith.
  • Oversee communication and recognition of volunteer and service efforts within the school community.
  • Assist in coordinating school events in collaboration with the Director of Development to advance key initiatives.

Strategic Leadership and Reporting

  • Develop annual enrollment goals and report progress to the Head of School and Board as needed.
  • Analyze enrollment and retention data to inform strategy and identify trends.
  • Contribute to leadership discussions about community health, family engagement, andschool growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or 5 years experience in one of the listed areas; background

in education, communications, marketing, or ministry preferred.

  • Experience in admissions, marketing, customer relations, or community engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidates with oral and written fluency in Spanish preferred.
  • Organized and self-motivated, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfortable using digital tools for data tracking, marketing, and communication.
  • Committed follower of Jesus Christ with alignment to the City School Statement of Faith.
