Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dietetics, with experience in Long term care. This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans, conducting diagnostic evaluations, and providing nutritional guidance to patients, including those requiring tube feeding. The Dietitian will play a crucial role in promoting weight loss and overall health through effective dietary management.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents' nutritional needs and develop tailored dietary plans based on individual health conditions.
  • Supervise dietary staff to ensure compliance with care plans and dietary regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  • Conduct educational sessions for patients and families regarding nutrition and health management.
  • Monitor resident progress and adjust dietary plans as necessary to achieve desired health outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, care plans, and progress evaluations.
  • Stay updated on current trends in dietetics and nutrition to provide the best possible care.

Experience

  • A degree in Dietetics or a related field is required; completion of an accredited internship is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a long term care setting.
  • Familiarity with tube feeding protocols and nutritional systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
  • Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess nutritional needs accurately.
