Antea USA, Inc. (AnteaGroup) is seeking a detail-focused mid-level EHS Operations Project Manager based in Houston, TX. This full-time remote role requires a Monday–Friday commitment and is expected to run for an initial 3-month period, with the potential for extension. The position includes national travel of up to approximately 30%.

As an
EHS Operations Project Manager,
you will support the development and implementation of a comprehensive safety program for our multinational client's global data center operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, independent contributor with strong project and program management expertise and the ability to support multiple sites with varying priorities. This role involves creating and customizing EHS program documentation, including policies and procedures tailored to the unique challenges of operating data centers around the world.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support data center operations and ensure adherence to EHS requirements within critical environments.
  • Conduct EHS inspections, audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews at client locations nationwide.
  • Review EHS practices and procedures, within laboratory and data center operations to ensure compliance and safe work practices.
  • Review, develop, and advise on EHS programs and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, deliver, and track EHS training programs tailored to site-specific needs.
  • Design, implement, and manage EHS processes, systems, and tracking mechanisms across multiple sites.
  • Build and maintain reporting structures for EHS performance, metrics, and goals.
  • Facilitate and lead EHS team meetings, including agenda development, follow-up actions, and cross-site coordination.
  • Identify EHS risks and operational challenges, and drive practical, cost-effective solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate effectively with site leadership and leverage global resources as needed to achieve compliance and efficiencies.
  • Provide basic electrical safety program oversight and ensure alignment with NFPA 70E standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Will consider experience in lieu of formal education.
  • 5+ years of EHS program management experience, including developing and implementing safety programs, processes, and reporting tools.
  • Industry certifications such as CSP, CIH, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in data center operations or similar mission-critical environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across diverse locations.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and green initiatives in data centers.
  • Experience managing safety in global, multi-site operations is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E or electrical safety requirements.
  • Proficiency in EHS management systems, auditing processes, and performance tracking tools.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to develop and implement global initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage stakeholders across diverse teams and regions.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Travel flexibility up to 30% nationally.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment - Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following:

  • Sedentary to light work (typical office or administrative work).
  • Frequently required to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of low (under 25lbs) to moderate (25-49lbs) weight objects.
  • Repetitive motions: substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (including reaching).
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change).
  • Operation of motor vehicle.

Additionally, if you are assigned work in the field at client project sites you will need to complete a medical surveillance/fitness-for-duty examination and maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:

  • Medium to heavy work.
  • Subject to outside environmental conditions: heat/cold, wind, wet and/or humid, etc.
  • Occasional stooping (bending body downward and forward), kneeling (bending legs at the knee), crouching (bending body downward and forward), and climbing.
  • Frequent lifting (including push/pull, hold/carry) of light, moderate, and possibly heavy-weight objects.
  • Subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions, including but not limited to: proximity to moving vehicles, parts, or equipment; exposure to chemicals; pressure (including noise); electrical hazards; biological hazards; excavation/trenching; confined spaces; elevated work; materials handling
  • May be required to wear an air-purifying respirator.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The hourly salary range for this position is $ $70.00. Compensation will vary depending on the applicant's job-related knowledge and skills, education, and work experience.
