POSITION SUMMARY – RUNNER / LOBBY / BUSSER STAFF

As a Runner at Aubergine Kitchen, you are the final touch of the customer experience —

and that matters a lot

You bring to the table not just the food, but also the energy, care, and love with which each

dish was prepared. With attention to detail, agility, and a smile on your face, you make sure

every guest feels well served, satisfied, and appreciated. Your role is essential to keeping

the dining area clean, organized, and full of great experiences.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver orders correctly to tables with friendliness, clarity, and attention to presentation.

• Confirm with the customer if everything is correct with the order and respond quickly if

any adjustments or complaints arise.

• Assist with restocking customer items (silverware, napkins, cups).

• Ensure the dining room is clean and organized: pick up plates, wipe down tables, take out

trash, sweep the floor, and keep the area pleasant.

• Communicate clearly and efficiently with the kitchen and leadership team to ensure

speed and accuracy.

• Periodically check restrooms, ensuring cleanliness, refilling paper and soap, and notifying

a leader if maintenance is needed.

• Help clean and organize the floor, windows, glass doors, and customer trash bins.

• Support the cashier and front team when needed, always focusing on the customer

experience.

• Maintain the visual standards of the store and act as a brand ambassador when

interacting with guests.

• Follow all food safety regulations and internal store procedures.

• Perform other tasks as directed by the shift leader or manager.

• Assist in other areas when requested.

• The night shift Runner must assist with closing duties, including cleaning in different

areas as needed.

• Show initiative, a positive attitude, and strong team spirit.

TEAMWORK WITH CUSTOMER FOCUS

At Aubergine Kitchen, we are all responsible for delivering an excellent customer

experience. In addition to your daily duties, in this role you may also be asked to assist in

other areas during peak times or slower moments, such as:
• Clearing bowls and silverware from tables after use.

• Helping clean and organize the dining area (tables, chairs, floor).

• Restocking disposable utensils, napkins, and bags at the self-service station.

• Providing support to your team or other departments when needed, always keeping

customer satisfaction as the priority.

REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• English proficiency – Ability to communicate well in English (essential requirement).

• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly attitude when interacting with guests.

• Attention to detail to ensure visual presentation and product standards are met.

• Ability to work under pressure. Agility and stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Professional demeanor when addressing problems and finding effective solutions with

customers.

• Professional attitude and positive energy while assisting customers.

• Organization and agility to handle multiple orders during peak hours.

• Strong communication and teamwork to keep service running smoothly.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be at least 16 years old.

• Prior experience as a server is a plus.

• Must successfully complete the company's onboarding training.

• Must provide proof of Food Handler certification within 14 days of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Available to work 3 to 4 shifts per week, including one weekend shift (Friday or Saturday),

and on holidays.

• Willingness to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs (approx. 22 kg).

• Prior restaurant experience is a plus.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
