We are currently seeking a motivated and energetic entry-level to mid-level Environmental Engineer who can support site characterization and remediation projects for our industrial, commercial, and municipal clients.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- Performing field investigations and ensuring that workplans are followed correctly and data handled appropriately. Field work typically includes site inspections, soil and soil vapor characterization and sampling, landfill cover soil/waste investigations, stormwater, and groundwater sampling.
- Performing and overseeing operation and maintenance tasks on various types of remediation systems for groundwater treatment, vapor intrusion mitigation, soil vapor extraction (SVE), air sparging, and non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) recovery.
- Overseeing and documenting subcontractor activities on client sites and ensuring that work scopes are followed.
- Collating, tabulating, and interpreting data and developing conceptual site models to support identification of sources and routes of exposure to human health and the environment.
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary projects teams/senior staff to design remediation systems; document results and findings of data collection, technical evaluations, and design activities; and prepare plans and specifications for the investigation and remediation of hazardous waste sites and brownfields.
- Performing design and construction field observation activities including construction quality assurance (CQA) observations.
- Preparing design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Preparing technical reports and other deliverables.
- Corresponding with subcontractors, clients, and regulators.
- Managing project budgets and schedules.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have the following:
- BS (MS beneficial) in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering, or similar degree program.
- Engineer-In-Training certification or intent to obtain state license preferred.
- Strong technical and mechanical skills, preferably a minimum of three to seven years of experience as an engineer/technician involved with site investigation planning, site remediation design and construction, operation and maintenance of environmental remediation systems, and managing subcontractors.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to technical details.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Current OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred but not required.
- A current valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain medical clearance to work on hazardous waste sites, the ability to lift 35 pounds, and ability to work 10-hour days.
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, work independently, and collaborate with various project teams.
- A strong desire to grow personally as well as professionally.
- Great attitude and eager to learn.

The expected compensation range for this position is $100,000 –$120,000 annually depending upon skills, experience, and education.
