We are seeking experienced Lease Purchase Intermodal Truck Drivers to join our growing fleet. This position focuses exclusively on pulling intermodal containers from rail yards and ports to customer facilities and return locations.
This role is ideal for professional drivers who want the independence of lease purchase, steady intermodal freight, and the opportunity to grow as an owner-operator within a supportive company environment.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers pulling intermodal containers
- Pick up and deliver containers from rail ramps, ports, and customer locations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and DOT compliance
- Plan and manage routes to meet delivery appointments efficiently
- Comply with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety standards
- Operate manual transmission trucks as required
- Secure containers properly to prevent shifting or damage
- Maintain accurate ELD logs, delivery documentation, and equipment reports
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, rail personnel, and customers
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CDL Class A truck driver
- Intermodal or container experience strongly preferred
- Valid Class A CDL
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred
- Knowledge of rail yards, port operations, and intermodal procedures is a plus
- Strong understanding of DOT safety regulations and hours-of-service rules
- Clean driving record with a strong safety focus
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and reliability
