Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and coffee preparation, ensuring that every beverage served meets our high standards of quality. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while efficiently managing the café operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and responding to inquiries with a friendly demeanor.
  • Operate Square POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and equipment.
  • Adhere to food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with health regulations during food handling and preparation.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication.

Requirements

  • Previous barista experience or relevant experience in the food service industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; proficiency in cash handling is essential.
  • Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash management.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
