Engineering Manager

Location: Remote, USA

We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our Checkout & Marketplace team. In this role you will lead a small team of extremely experienced engineers building out the core product that helps our customers find, qualify for, and purchase products to improve their health. Your work will directly impact revenue, user experience, and our marketplace growth.

The ideal candidate has a passion for developing and growing talent and has experience building great user interfaces, optimizing conversion, and experimenting to produce data driven decisions. You will be responsible for creating a culture of growth for your team while driving our product to delight our customers.

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of full-stack engineers working on health surveys, checkout, payments, and marketplace products

• Hire and retain top engineering talent and participate in performance reviews, coaching, and professional development

• Foster a culture of ownership, experimentation, continuous improvement, and learning

• Drive the technical roadmap for the team by working with product managers to balance new features, technical debt, bug fixes, performance, and reliability

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Analytics to set priorities, scope initiatives, sequence work, and define success metrics

• Ensure high engineering standards: code reviews, architecture guidance, testing, observability, deployments, incident response

• Proven experience managing engineers (3+ years preferred), including experience hiring, coaching, and growing engineers

• Excellent at working with Product: capable of translating business goals to engineering work, negotiating trade-offs, and sequencing appropriately

• A bias toward shipping, iterating, and delivering value quickly

• Strong technical foundation: comfortable with full-stack technologies and architecture, with a deeper knowledge of front end architecture patterns preferred

• Familiar with A/B testing, experimentation, or data-driven decision making

• Experience in payment / checkout / e-commerce / marketplace systems is a major plus
