Norway Savings Bank is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team in the role of Branch Manager for our Yarmouth Branch
Stepping into this leadership role, you'll provide oversight for the success of your branch team, customer experience and commitment to the community you serve.
Acting a role model and coach, you'll lead, develop and motivate your team in achieving business development and customer service goals.
You'll also collaborate with other business lines, developing customer relationships to identify potential sales and service opportunities, contributing to overall growth of the branch and Bank, and you'll strive for excellent financial performance in fulfilling the needs of our communities.

- Customer Service – Internal & External
- Ensures a positive customer experience by providing exceptional service and holding self and team accountable based on Norway Savings Bank's customer service standards.

- Branch Growth
- Cultivates deposit growth and retention of market share.
- Demonstrates continued growth of loan portfolio and market share.
- Monitor market trends & stay up to date on competing bank products and deposit rates to retain and grow wallet share.
- Sales
- Models exceptional relationship building skills and coaches branch staff to ensure retention of market share and grow the wallet share of each customer.
- Maintains responsibility for business development activities to develop and sustain ongoing centers of influence relationships.
- Identifies and integrates new customers to the Bank, while growing existing customer relationships through all business lines.
- Represents the Bank within the community through various volunteer activities, Bank-sponsored events, participation in various organizations, as well as trade shows.
- Leads/coaches team to achieve sales objectives by fostering a growth mindset through communicating enhanced sales strategies.
- Lending
- Serves as primary contact for incoming loan inquiries, processes retail loans, and refers to appropriate business lines when applicable.
- Contributes to the growth of the loan portfolio.
- Actively participates in Retail Loan Committee meetings on a regular basis.
- Human Resources
- Acts a peer mentor to support the development of new Branch/Market Managers
- Partners with HR in hiring and successfully onboarding new team members with an emphasis on employee retention in consideration of diversity, equity and inclusion values.
- Ensures employee success through continuous performance/development coaching & recognition
- Oversight of performance management which includes performance evaluations, salary adjustments, and employee relationships with collaboration of HR partners.
Our Candidate Must Have:
- 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 - 5+ years retail banking/management experience
- Ability to train, coach and mentor others
- Demonstrated personal sales success
- Strong consumer and mortgage lending experience
- Demonstrated business development skills
- Demonstrated success in leading a team
- Top-notch interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Exemplary customer service skills with both external and internal customers
- Strong organizational skills with ability to easily multi-task
- Knowledge of policies, procedures and bank operations
- Saturday morning availability required

Working Conditions:
