Expeditor - Power Temp Systems (PTS)

Location: Houston, TX

Employment Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

About the Role:

Power Temp Systems (PTS) is seeking a detail-oriented Expeditor to join our Houston team. In this vital role, you'll help keep our production operations running smoothly by ensuring that materials, components, and supplies are delivered on time. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to drive efficiency.

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor open purchase orders and shipments daily to ensure on-time delivery and prevent material shortages.
  • Act as the key liaison between suppliers, buyers, and production teams to resolve shortages, backorders, or shipment discrepancies.
  • Identify and resolve delivery issues by coordinating with vendors for expedited shipping and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate ERP system updates, including delivery dates, lead times, and shipment information.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, and warehouse departments to prioritize materials and support project timelines.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly Production Order Queue Reports, ensuring progress updates are communicated clearly.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance vendor communication and material flow.

What You Bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; coursework in supply chain or logistics preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Outlook required).
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing materials and vendor processes a plus.

Position Details:

  • Reports To: Purchasing Manager or General Manager
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Overtime as needed)
  • Physical Requirements: Light to moderate activity, including occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel: None to minimal
