The Health Economics Analyst will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and proofing economic models pertaining to CARTI's business strategy. This role will also aid in generating, retrieving, compiling, refining, and organizing retrospective and prospective quantitative data and information for use in cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact analyses, and health technology assessments.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizes knowledge of healthcare economics and finance to aid in analysis, planning, and organization of information with regard to economic modeling.
  • Updates figures in previously constructed, proprietary, complex economic models.
  • Aids in generating statistical data for various types for economic evaluations.
  • Runs, evaluates, and maintains inventory reports.
  • Identifies and updates pricing changes.
  • Uses Microsoft Office to generate and maintain spreadsheets, presentations, and documents.
  • Uploads and manages contracts and documents within Oracle software.
  • Exhibits a high level of organizational competency.
  • Communicates professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
  • Solid decision-making skills.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Economics, Finance, Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Public Health, Epidemiology or similar field.
  • Master's Degree in applicable field preferred.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Experience in healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers including programs such as Microsoft Office, PowerPoint
  • Must be able to enter data into
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • High level of self-motivation with attention to detail.,
  • Experience with medical reimbursement and an astute student of Healthcare Economics, Finance, Public Health, and Epidemiology required

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.
  • Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
