We are seeking an experienced Product Security Engineering Manager to join our Product Security team and contribute to implementing our Product Security strategy. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Software Security and manage a team of product security engineers. The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of product security and demonstrate leadership skills to guide the team in achieving its objectives. 

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

  • Manage a security engineering team, supporting the development of secure and reliable products.
  • Facilitate conversations to remove blockers and encourage collaboration across teams.
  • Work with cross-functional product security teams to enhance our security engineering culture.
  • Help translate strategic goals into actionable plans that can be implemented by engineers.
  • Provide security guidance across the organization.
  • Partner with technology stakeholders to establish metrics that demonstrate security proficiency across major technology teams.
  • Support the development of standards and baselines for product security.
  • Contribute to establishing metrics that showcase proficiency in product security.
  • Work with development and operations teams to develop standards for product security.

  • Experience with managing programs and projects via tools like Jira.
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable programs of work, supporting engineers in execution and outcomes.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management strategies for products.
  • Experience in supporting and promoting security standards, policies, and best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and work with various teams to promote security adoption and awareness.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess security risks and prioritize mitigation efforts.
  • Experience with threat modeling and secure design principles to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities in the product development process.
  • Good organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

The applicable salary range for this position is $173,000 - $216,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
