Job Purpose:
The PATH Intl. Director of Finance reports directly to the CEO and is the senior finance leader for the organization. The Director of Finance is responsible for PATH Intl. financial operations and systems with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
· Develop long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and mission
· Advise senior leadership on financial implications of strategic decisions
· Participate in strategic planning initiatives and organizational development
· Partner with program and development teams to align financial planning with operational needs
Financial Operations
· Hire, train, supervise, and mentor accounting staff
· Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for accounting department, including a system of internal financial controls
· Manage general accounting functions to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
· Manage the month end closing process
· Prepare and file all monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns for all required states, cities and municipalities
· Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
· Lead the organization's budget and forecast processes
· Coordinate the annual audit and 990 preparations from planning to board approval
· Prepare ad hoc financial analysis when requested
· Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
· Prepare and present financial updates to the finance and audit committees
· Prepare board-level presentations and participate in board meetings as needed
Systems and Technology
· Evaluate and implement financial systems and software to improve efficiency and reporting
· Ensure data integrity and cybersecurity for financial information systems
· Perform other duties as assigned

· Commitment to fulfilling the mission of PATH Intl. Represents the PATH Intl. brand in a positive manner internally and externally.
· This position makes independent decisions relating to the accounting and finances of the organization which may have a noticeable impact on the overall organization.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Education:
o Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
o C.P.A., M.B.A. in finance a plus
Experience:
o Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years accounting experience required, preferably in nonprofits
Technical Skills:
o Must have excellent knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks desktop) and GAAP: proven ability to implement basic plus many advanced skills.
o Must have strong experience & working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
o Experience with membership databases, such as SalesForce is preferred.
o Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting.
Communication Skills:
o Good telephone etiquette, excellent oral and written communication skills
o Able to discuss, collaborate and elaborate on complex or sensitive items
Customer Service Experience:
o Proven ability to work well with all levels of staff, associates and members.
o Prior experience collaborating with board of trustees, auditors, and others on a regular basis.
o Requires significant level of trust and confidentiality.
Decision Making/Problem Solving Skills:
o Deals with complex problems on a daily basis requiring understanding, interpreting & applying policies & procedures.
o Uses analysis and creativity to resolve issues and develop solutions; assignments are given in terms of results expected
o Able to make independent strategic and tactical decisions with noticeable impact to function and/or organization.
Organizational Skills:
o Able to handle multiple tasks daily ranging from moderate to complex; prioritizing and delegating as appropriate.
Project Management Experience:
o Able to coordinate projects with a variety of people, demonstrating follow-through and bringing projects to completion, successfully meeting all deadlines.
Supervisory Experience:
o Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years supervisory experience
Physical Working Conditions:
PATH Intl.'s office is in Westminster, CO, a suburb of Denver. The work in this position may be performed in-office, hybrid or remotely. The work schedule has some flexibility as long as team member interactions and timely financial reporting are achieved. Travel may be required to attend staff gatherings.
· The incumbent must be able to successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal state, and local standards, including, but not limited to, sitting or standing for long periods, filing, retrieval, lifting (up to 25 lbs.) and operating office equipment. The use of a computer is required daily. May occasionally require working extra hours and some weekends.

Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $125,000 annualized. An offer will be made commensurate to the candidate's experience, education and qualifications as they pertain to the duties of this position.
