About the Role:

Are you passionate about helping others connect, grow, and thrive? The Arc of Tri-Cities is hiring friendly and dependable people to work one-on-one with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Community Inclusion Specialist, you'll support individuals in getting involved with activities they enjoy—right in their own community

This could mean going to a reading group at the library, joining a local art class, volunteering, or exploring new hobbies. Your job is to help each person build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections.

What You'll Do:

  • Support one individual at a time with inclusive, community-based activities
  • Help each client work toward their personal goals
  • Provide transportation to and from outings
  • Track and report client progress
  • Keep open communication with families, caregivers, and coworkers
  • Ensure a safe and respectful environment at all times

Schedule & Availability:

  • Flexible scheduling available
  • We're especially looking for team members who are willing to take clients out on Friday evenings and Saturdays

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license for at least 5 years
  • Clean driving record for the past 3 years
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred but not required)
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable using basic Microsoft Office programs

  • Experience planning activities or outings
  • A creative, flexible, and encouraging approach
