Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality deli products while ensuring a clean and sanitary work environment. You will play a vital role in creating a positive experience for our customers.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, according to company standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist customers in selecting products and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Operate food service equipment safely and efficiently, including slicers and scales.
  • Perform food handling duties with attention to detail to ensure freshness and quality of products.
  • Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere while addressing any inquiries or concerns.

Experience

  • Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary skills is a plus.
  • Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions and weighing products accurately.
  • A strong commitment to sanitation practices in food handling is essential.
