Titan Security Group is currently hiring a Swing Shift Security Supervisor to work at a location in Cleveland, Ohio.
The schedule we are looking to fill consists of: x2 day shifts, x2 afternoon shifts, and x1 midnight shift.
Responsibilities of the Security Officer
include but are no limited to:
- Monitoring and Surveillance
- Watch surveillance cameras to detect suspicious activity.
- Monitor building security systems like alarms or entry controls.
- Check and verify the identification of guests, visitors, and contractors.
- Ensure only authorized individuals can enter certain areas, including gated communities, private offices, or buildings.
- Manage visitor logs and issue visitor passes.
- Assist guests with inquiries about local amenities, directions, or services.
- Provide a warm, welcoming environment for residents, guests, or clients.
- Address complaints or requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, or incidents promptly, contacting emergency services as needed.
- Assist in evacuation or lockdown procedures during emergencies.
- Be trained to handle first-aid and CPR if necessary.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security.
- Inspect security equipment, doors, and windows to ensure they are locked and secure.
- Keep detailed logs of incidents, unusual activities, or safety concerns.
- Record security check-in and check-out times for employees or residents.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Work closely with other security staff and management to implement safety protocols.
- Communicate any security breaches or potential threats to relevant authorities.
- Monitor and manage the reception of packages or deliveries to ensure safety.
- Escort couriers, maintenance workers, or contractors to specific locations within the building if necessary.
- Handle minor disputes or conflicts professionally, de-escalating situations when necessary.
- Work with residents or clients to resolve complaints while maintaining safety and security.
- Answer phones, emails, or messages related to security concerns or requests.
- Ensure that all building security measures are up to date and compliant with regulations.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Benefits:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
Education and/or Experience:
Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field and/or equivalent experience/education preferred. Previous security experience is also preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Ability to obtain a valid security license (if required by the state). Professional Certifications in Security Management; CPP or similar certifications preferred.
Language Skills:
Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Bi-lingual considered a plus. Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, financial and time management skills with the ability of concisely and effectively address questions while providing subject matter expertise on policy to ownership and management.
Other Qualifications:
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Strong qualitative and quantitative skills. Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively, establish workflow priorities and work independently with high attention to detail. Ability to start, cultivate and maintain strong relations and work in a team environment. Prior employment history demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities, and producing accurate results in a highly[1]organized manner. Must maintain a working telephone number through which we can contact you.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A list of these job duties is inclusive of, but not limited to: candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time; be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.; be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility; be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather.
