Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with a focus on ensuring optimal operation and safety standards. The Maintenance Engineer will play a critical role in supporting production efficiency and implementing preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, sensors, switches, and wiring in accordance with safety standards.
  • Operate diagnostic tools including ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments to identify issues accurately.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
  • Conduct welding (including welding), fabrication, and installation of new parts or systems as needed.
  • Work with field service teams on large-scale repairs or upgrades involving high voltage or low voltage systems.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment; operate scissor lifts and other industrial machinery safely.
  • Maintain detailed schematics and technical documentation for all systems maintained or repaired.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to high voltage, HVAC/R systems, and industrial mechanics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing failure modes and recommending process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, electrical circuits (including high voltage and low voltage), and industrial electrician experience.
  • Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, CMMS software, and precision measurement instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
  • Ability to perform welding (including welding) and fabrication tasks confidently.
  • Familiarity with field service operations involving high voltage or complex electrical troubleshooting.
  • Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing issues efficiently and accurately.
  • Industrial mechanic experience combined with technical sales knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to operate scissor lifts safely; OSHA certification preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English; customer service orientation is advantageous.
  • Military background or experience in industrial maintenance roles is considered an asset. This position offers an engaging work environment where technical expertise is valued highly. Pay: $22.50 per hour
