Envision yourself at Barracuda The Barracuda web team is seeking a Senior Web Developer to build, optimize, and maintain complex web applications and pages on within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). This is a highly autonomous, full-stack role requiring both technical excellence and cross-functional collaboration. Success in this role means delivering high-quality, maintainable work with minimal oversight, proactively resolving technical challenges, and driving continuous improvements in web performance and user experience. In addition to hands-on development, the Senior Web Developer mentors junior engineers, enforces coding standards, and ensures timely delivery of projects. This role requires speed, precision, and the ability to partner effectively with product, marketing, and analytics teams to achieve business goals. while this role is open to candidates located anywhere within the United States, we have a strong preference for individuals based in the Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones. What you'll be working on
  • Design, build, and optimize web pages, components, and applications within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Develop and maintain reusable AEM templates and components
  • Integrate APIs, analytics tools (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics), and authentication layers (OAuth)
  • Conduct code reviews, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and uphold repository best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, security, and infrastructure issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align web initiatives with business objectives
  • Deliver projects independently, on time, and with high quality
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to process improvement
What you bring to the role
  • 6-10 years of full-stack web development experience, building and maintaining complex web applications  
  • Advanced proficiency in Java, JavaScript (object-oriented), React, CSS, PostCSS, HTML, PHP, SQL, and TypeScript 
  • Strong experience with AEM, Docker, and modern MVC frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter), AWS Products (Cloud Formation, S3, Route 53) 
  • Experience with SQL/MySQL, API creation, REST, and integration such as Salesforce  
  • Understanding of web application security and performance optimization best practices  
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects quickly and accurately  
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work independently or as part of a team
