Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. In this role, you will support physical therapists in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. You will work in a dynamic clinical environment, assisting with patient treatments and ensuring a positive experience for all individuals receiving therapy. This position is ideal for those interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, particularly in physical therapy or rehabilitation. Looking for candidates willing to work either 7am-2pm or 1:30-8:30 pm depending on availability.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists with patient care during therapy sessions.
  • Prepare treatment areas and ensure all necessary equipment is ready for use.
  • Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks as directed by the therapist.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including equipment and supplies.
  • Document patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Support administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.

Skills

  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to physical therapy and rehabilitation.
  • Experience or knowledge in acute care settings, geriatrics, orthopedics, or outpatient services is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a focus on providing exceptional patient service.
