About the Role
As a Home Care Caregiver, you will provide supportive, hands-on assistance to clients who need help with daily activities. You will play a key role in promoting dignity, independence, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Support mobility needs, including transfers and light exercises
- Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Offer medication reminders only (non-medical)
- Report any changes in client condition to supervisors promptly
- Follow individualized care plans and document daily care accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a caregiver, HHA, or in a similar role (preferred but not required)
- Basic understanding of home care best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Must pass a background check and provide references
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred)
