Program Support Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Program Support Specialist to join our team. This role is vital to the coordination and implementation of programs that support the organization's mission and enhance the development of youth. The Program Support Specialist provides direct support to the Education Coordinator and Program Director, assisting with program delivery, instruction, and engagement efforts.

This position involves working closely with youth in our Academic Enrichment Program (AEP) by assisting teachers, ensuring classroom coverage, leading instructional and recreational activities, and promoting social, physical, intellectual, and leadership development. The specialist also serves as a liaison between the program and families, supports outreach to local schools, and contributes to agency marketing and social media efforts.

Qualifications:

· Associate of Arts degree preferred; or three years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Must complete 40 hours of childcare training and obtain a staff credential through the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) for licensing purposes.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer literacy required.

· Must be self-motivated and able to perform duties with minimal supervision.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to adapt programming to meet the diverse cultural needs of the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Public Representation & Marketing

· Represent the agency through public presentations and community engagement.

· Create visual and written presentations and marketing materials.

· Develop and manage content for the agency's social media platforms.

Program Support

· Assist in supervising children and youth during program activities.

· Support the planning and implementation of enrichment programs and events.

· Develop and lead individual and group activities that promote:

· - Literacy

· - Conflict resolution

· - Peer mediation

· - Financial literacy

· - Computer skills

· - Career exploration

· Encourage values-based instruction that fosters self-esteem and personal growth.

· Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain a well-rounded, coordinated program.

· Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.

Administrative & Operational Duties

· Monitor and ensure accurate documentation and file management.

· Drive the agency van for transporting program participants as needed.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 per year
